Morning Meeting on 7:15 AM Nov 4 (by Zoom)
Joint Meeting with Hamilton AM Club
Let's Increase Support of Rotary Foundation

On Nov 4, 7:15 AM, we will meet (by Zoom) in a joint meeting with the Hamilton AM Ontario Rotary Club, for a challenging talk by Sandi Chard of the St Catherines Lakeshore Club on the role of all of us in supporting and moving forward Rotary Foundation. The Foundation's good works in so many areas, let's roll up our sleeves, open our check books, and help increase its spread! Sandi brings us a special message, built around the District Challenge to improve our contributions to the Foundation.

So, it is a unique, JOINT meeting with a Hamilton AM Club - both Clubs will have special times for their own business, see below for some of our G I actions.
Here is the SignUp Genius address to let her know you are coming - you must give Sherry your name to get the Zoom code:

Pedal for Polio, Fun to Participate, Do Your Part by Contributing -

Biking from Niagara Falls to Lewiston and back, former Pres. Dick Earne and Sect. Mike Billoni, plus a dozen other Rotarians racked up 26 miles, round trip; how about matching their effort with similar $'s to help the Rotary Foundation in its drive to End Polio, plus all the other fine projects that Rotary Foundation supports. Remember that includes 'pay back to the local District' projects such as the funds we received in May, June to help Tonawanda Salvation Army and their food distribution. President Sherry will report the results of this special fund raising at the next two meetings.

Are You Following Our Facebook & Web Site Pages?
Did you see this?
We had a fabulous virtual meeting this week, Oct. 28, featuring a peek into John Boutet's Buffalo Sports Memorabilia museum, right here on Grand Island. A real plus for Rotarians, to be able to see, at least virtually, something that hardly anyone else on Grand Island knows exist. Neighbors Foundation has Major Effort in
December Holiday Season
Remember that Rotary started the Neighbors Foundation here on Grand Island almost 45 years ago. The Middle & High School DECA Clubs are planning to help with special non-perishable food drives in Nov. and Dec. We may be able to help them with moving, sorting this food, and getting it distributed to Grand Island (or other nearby) folks who desperately need it.  The Neighbors Foundation will also have a fund drive 'Share Your Happiness' in December, more on that later.
Help H.S. Interact by
collecting Travel Size Toiletries

As the High School gets settled in this new year, the High School Interact Club has, with Zoom sessions, organized under new Advisor, Kari Nowak, with help from Rotary Contact, Mike Billoni.  They are starting their projects by planning to collect travel size toiletries (those things you 'liberated' from hotels in years past), plus socks, gloves, mittens, for the homeless shelters in Buffalo, Niagara Falls. Please put together a stack of such things, we will get you info on how  these vital items are delivered to local homeless shelters.

We Will Ring Salvation Army Red Kettle Bells in December
Set aside some time on Saturdays, December 12 and 19
Yes, there has been some hesitation from the Covid Pandemic, but we can safely stand in the corners of Tops entry-way, the Salvation Army really needs our support and help. Mores as that time approaches.
Grand Island Rotary Goals for 2020 / 21
